During Nintendo’s last shareholder meeting, President and CEO of Nintendo confirmed that Nintendo Network which is Nintendo’s to be online platform for the upcoming Wii U will be free to access and use, no charge at all besides you monthly internet bill. Nintendo has always implemented free online multiplayer on all their systems that use it such as the DS, Wii, and 3DS which use Nintendo WiFi- connection, so it all makes a lot of sense and is a very good thing.
